Christmas '98 in Bishop
Here's Grandma & Grandpa's house as seen at night. Actually, it was taken at dusk. This was taken on a tripod at a very long exposure.
Michael was fascinated by the construction, and inner-workings of Grandma & Grandpa's house. Here, Michael is showing us where the septic tank is. Michael described it as "the poopoo place".
Risking a paralyzing head/neck/spine injury, dad valiantly jumps on the sled and heads for the wall of death.
After a heart-pounding, white-knucked, adrenalin-rushed careen down the hill, dad gives the thumbs up that he has survived.
After hours of heated debate, Grandpa
decided to risk his life on the slopes.
Notice Danielle in the background assembling a weapon.
Grandpa sets a new record for speed and distance. The only down-side is that he has to walk back.
She is so devious.
That thing is almost bigger than she is. I wonder what she's going to do with it...
Good shot Danielle! Grandpa takes the snowball at point-blank range. It's not above Grandpa to get revenge, so watch-out Danielle!
It's Danielle's turn to uncontrollably launch herself from our mile-high mountain-top. Here she is with her vehicle of choice.
Alien life on other planets? Here's proof that it exists right here on Earth. This little snow-alien was watching our suicidal leaps off the sheer cliff, with nothing but a thin layer of snow and granite to break our fall.
Here's Grandma restraining Christopher. Chris hates the snow. He had also just woken up, and was the king of all grouches. Here he is, just before being returned to the van. Michael was already in the van for being a tired grouch-monster from heck.
Danielle survived the previous launch of faith. This time, she's taking Mommy with her.
Mom survives with a smile. What happened to Danielle??
The sun sets on the White Mountains to the east of Grandma & Grandpa's house in Bishop. We had a great time.
